Moonrider – Moonrider (1975)
Formed by Keith West (Tomorrow, Keith West Group), Bruce Thomas (later of The Attractions), John Weider (ex-Family, Animals) and Chico Greenwood (later of Murray Head, Jackson Browne), Moonrider brought together an impressive mix of songwriting and musicianship. Originally released on Anchor in 1975, the band’s only album has long been a cult favorite.
Critics describe it as a rustic-twang country-rock set with dark ballad undertones and mid-’70s California soft-rock warmth, recalling the Eagles or Crosby, Stills & Nash, with the occasional bluesy edge.
Moonrider finally gets the deluxe CD treatment it deserves. This edition restores the full album and, for the first time, adds the band’s 1975 BBC In Concert session and Old Grey Whistle Test recordings, none of which have ever been released until now.

John Weider – John Weider (1976)
Best known for his work with Eric Burdon & The Animals and later Family, guitarist, violinist, and multi-instrumentalist John Weider stepped into the spotlight with his self-titled Anchor Records solo album in 1976. This marks the first-ever complete reissue of the album on CD, a major rediscovery for collectors.
The sessions feature a tasteful rhythm section: Charlie McCracken (bass) and Pierce Kelly (drums), with Beatles' engineer Phil McDonald producing. The album also featured uncredited collaboration from Weider’s former Family bandmate Charlie Whitney.
Musically, the album drifts between soft-rock, Beatleseque pop, and smooth California singer-songwriter stylings — a fascinating and eclectic showcase of Weider’s artistry outside the shadow of the bands he supported.
